OUR APPROACH
We're a relatively small company. Greg Callaghan and Bob Steele are involved in nearly every aspect of the business. When you work with Shaffer, you’ll see them frequently—on site and off. One of them will be involved with your project from the beginning to the end. For customers less familiar with the construction process, they’ll guide you through step-by-step and there will be no surprises.
We use our own employees, a staff of 10-20 hardworking contractors whom we maintain on our payroll. Our associates are capable, responsible people who share our devotion to impeccable service.
We have a long-standing reputation for customer satisfaction and we’ll do nothing to jeopardize it. Greg and Bob hold themselves personally accountable for the outcome of your project with Shaffer and they expect you to hold them accountable, too.

PRE-CONSTRUCTION
During pre-construction we are often brought in to oversee the overall design intent and how it will ultimately relate to pricing. Our early involvement serves as an insurance policy to businesses and restaurant owners who are content knowing they have knowledgeable pricing representatives as part of the initial stages of their projects.
Usually, we are brought in early in the design process as pricing and budget consultants. Our significant project experience allows us to be extremely important partners in the preconstruction process. Our experience with budgets and pricing within a large variety of projects gives us the ability to add significant value to the preconstruction phase.
Often we are able to save a customer thousands of dollars and time, which is equally important.
CONSTRUCTION
Our construction sites are run by trained superintendents and are orderly, safe, and cleaned at the end of each workday. We don’t compromise site order. We understand that our customers need to visualize the actual 3D construction and welcome them on site.
The timeline becomes the lifeblood of our projects.We excel in the logistics of site and trade management. Without the absolute ability to control every aspect of the project, the flow would be in jeopardy. We demand complete cooperation by all direct subcontractors and those trades potentially contracted directly by the customer. Working together is the key to a successful and on time completion.
We have mastered contractor/owner/architect/superintendent/subcontractor integration.
DESIGN
Shaffer Construction is fortunate to work with some of the most creative and detail-oriented designers in the state, if not the country. These designers lean on us regularly to turn their ideas into brick, mortar, metal, drywall, steel and resin. The large number of high profile and difficult projects we’ve completed has awarded us a very high comfort level amongst designers in the area. Tackling unique and complicated projects is what we do best.
